Doug Casey believes that we could already be living in the world of Star Trek technology if we hadn't been held back for so long by the state, with its endless constrictive regulations which choke off innovation and endless taxation depredations which destroy useful investment funds. And I reckon he's right. But it is interesting to see glimpses of the future every now and again, as we do with the Nissan 'Land Glider'. It's powered by Lithium batteries, unlike the hydrogen fuel cell that Nissan's rival Honda is pinning its hopes on, but we still like it anyway, here at Maturin Towers.
