The International Policy Network

These people seem to have been getting a lot of airtime recently, even on the dreaded BBC. I'm not entirely sure what they're about, or who is funding them, but anyone who has a Bastiat Prize must surely be on the side of the angels.

Their ruling out of weblog pieces for this prize, as possible entries, is a little harsh, but the more important question is, do you think their Kendra Okonski would agree to marry me if I asked her?

Last time I checked Kendra was married already to a tempremental jackanapes called Julian (though given their screaming matches in the office...).

IPN is the greatest think-tank money can buy and Pfizer buys them regularly.

Oh well. Only one of me. And so many ladies to keep happy! :-)

and Pfizer buys them regularly.

Why can it never be some mad Norwegian on a boat full of gold in the Caribbean? Why does it always have to be someone who makes huge profits out of government stupidity and largesse? Silly question, obviously, given that the purpose of a think-tank is to influence government policy. No doubt IPN will soon be suggesting 'Individual Drug Accounts' for NHS patients, from which people can, in a free market fashion, select their IDA drug-taking options from an authorised list of government-approved products.

If they have already suggested such a scheme, I really was just making it up! :-)
