If they want to keep the damn thing, then they should re-invent the euro as the 'Gold Euro'.

    What and return to barbaric metals? You must be joking. Yer modern economy is much better off when looked over by modern day technocrats who are skilled in the ways of the market. Nothing could ever go wrong in such a scenario.
